What we do
Gasco provides a range of servicing options to ensure that your appliances are working safely & efficiently. Servicing acts as a bill of good health or a WOF for your gas appliances. Each service comprises multiple checks and tests in line with the NZ gas standards providing you with a gas safety certification. Energy safety NZ recommends getting your appliances serviced annually and if you’re a landlord it may be a requirement to ensure the appliances are safe. Gasco service individual properties, commercial kitchens all the way up to 5-star hotels and resorts.
With Gasco’s professional approach we ensure all-around communication, service and delivery on all installations. Our highly trained team of gasfitters take pride in themselves on having the experience and tools to provide a high standard of work for all your projects. Whether that’s a hot water heater in a rental property or a gas range in a commercial kitchen, our team can offer service agreements to minimise the likelihood of breakdowns as well as repairing appliances that may have failed. It’s a good idea to get heating and hot water appliances serviced before the busier winter months. If you notice strange odours coming off or yellow flames present in your appliances, it’s usually time for a service.
We’ve been around for a while
Gasco was established in 1998 in the lower South Island and a Christchurch operation opened in 2011. The current ownership has streamlined the company to improve the customer experience for anything gas throughout the South Island.
We have been involved in every large development in the Queenstown region over the past years. Projects to note where gas has been built are:

Gasco has supported the hospitality outlets with commercial kitchen installations and outdoor entertainment areas providing outdoor heating, cooking and lighting. Some of the projects involved sub-divisions with reticulated gas mains designed and installed by Gasco. We are Site Safe approved and have a very extensive Health and Safety Policy approved by Gas Distribution Network owners and operators.
Rowan supports the Queenstown and lakes region. He manages the logistics around installation and management of Gasco services.
Christchurch Branch Manager
Greig manages all operations and logistics within Christchurch and the Canterbury region.
Rob manages operations in the Queenstown lakes district. He’s here to ensure operations are run smoothly with customers and clients alike.

PREQUAL combines the experience and expertise of some of New Zealand’s leading Health and Safety Practitioners to provide an effective and affordable cross-industry contractor pre-qualification service.
To emphasise the importance of health and safety our technicians have all undertaken first aid training and site safe courses to develop their understanding of workplace risks.
